Kaiser Family Foundation will provide daily coverage of the 15th International AIDS Conference to be held July 11-16, in Bangkok, Thailand. The coverage will be made available through kaisernetwork.org, the conference's official webcaster. Coverage, which begins with a live webcast of the opening ceremony Sunday, July 11, will feature official press briefings and selected plenaries. JUST PUBLISHED TOP TRENDS: The July issue of Family Giving News looks at the top ten trends in family philanthropy, including the rising number of families involved in philanthropy, issues related to generational succession, more hands-on giving by younger donors, changing definitions of family and perpetuity and donor intent. EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION: In Baltimore's grantmaking community, collaborative grantmaking has emerged as an effective way for funders to leverage their dollars for more results. A new report, Local Donor Collaboration: Lessons from Baltimore and Beyond, describes four effective local funder groups. One group, the Education Funders Affinity Group, is a network that discusses issues related to the shared interest of education. The group fueled Baltimore's High School Reform Initiative with both ideas and funds. The report was published by the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers and Alice C. JO-ANNE E. STATELY was appointed vice president of development for the Indian Land Tenure Foundation and D'ARCY BORDEAUX was appointed accountant/human resource director. The Anthem Foundation of Connecticut hired FRANCES G. PADILLA as director of programs. JANET DAVENPORT was hired as director of communications. REATHA CLARK KING, retired president and executive director of the General Mills Foundation, was selected as the 2004 Louis W. Hill, Jr. Fellow in Philanthropy at the Hubert H.
